Teaching and Research Awards
At Spring Convocation 2016, Brian Bothner, Ph.D., received the Spirit of Discovery award for his teaching and mentoring in the Honors College. Robert Walker, Ph.D., received the Provost’s Award for Graduate Research/Creativity Mentoring. This award recognizes a faculty member for their mentoring and engagement of graduate students in research.
The College of Letters & Science recognized Chris Bahn, Ph.D., with an Outstanding Teaching Award for his dedication and commitment to teaching.
Professor Tim Minton was named a fellow of the American Physical Society in the Fall of 2015. This prestigious award is offered to less than one percent of the society’s members. Minton was recognized by the society for his pioneering research in hyperthermal gas-surface and gas-phase reaction dynamics.
