2007 Harold Watling Scholarship recipients announced
Michael P. Wright of Columbia Falls received a 2007 Harold Watling Scholarship. The $750 award was presented at the initiation and award ceremony of Alpha Epsilon Delta. Wright, a graduate of Columbia Falls High School, will graduate this spring with degrees in biochemistry and in biomedical sciences. He has been accepted to the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
As an undergraduate Mike has done research with Martin Teintze.
Harold Watling was a professor of zoology at MSU from 1947-1980 and a premedical adviser. The scholarship was started by one of Watling's former students, Dr. David Burgan of Polson.
